    I've had an embedded tooth once...it took a while for the reaction to build up to where I realized that's what it had to be. At first there was nothing & I thought the bite had long-since healed. That's why I said the time frame fits IMO. I didn't see a doctor...I dug it out myself & treated with Neosporin, but that's up to you to decide.
