    That sounds like no way to live to me. Sounds kinda stressful for the snake as well.

    I used hot glue once to stick a thermometer probe to the bottom of a cage. It didn't hold long. I've even had super glue fail holding a probe to a RHP.

    But maybe I'm not understanding how you have it. Post a pic of what you're doing. I don't know what the "hot glue mat" is.
