Strange rusty blotch on chin? Should I be worried?
I went to take out my bp for handling when I noticed this rusty colored blotch under her head. It is near a small strip of stuck shed that I have tried to remove before (I decided to wait til she sheds next since she's a baby and I couldn't remove it no matter what I tried. It's small enough where you can barely notice it, even in images) but I've never seen anything like this before (I'm a newer snake owner so maybe it's an experience thing). Is it something I should take her to the vet for? She hasn't changed her behavior, and it appeared overnight. Doesn't look like a burn but I'm still worried. Btw I've never posted a pic so if it doesn't show up then sorry

From the color it sounds like a bit of dried blood or scab...maybe a small scrape from something in the cage. Doesn't sound like any sort of emergency to me if there's
nothing else of concern, but remember, I'm not seeing it, you are. Hopefully the next shed will take it off. Are you sure it's not substrate?

Sometimes substrates can "stain" a snake temporarily. What substrate are you using?

I use repti-chip and now that you're mentioning it the color seems similar. Good to know it's not an emergency. Would the shed skin have transferred some of the color?

Reason: I tried posting the pic a different way

It's very likely related to your repti-chips...that's a 'yes'.
