Shedding question

My ball python has always shed inside his hide, he never leaves to go rub his skin off as you would normally see in snakes. He always sheds in one piece just don't know if it's normal for him to do it in his cave.

If the hide has some tack or roughness to it they will use it to remove the shed. Nothing at all wrong with this.
