    Thermometer/Hygrometer Question

After reading I've realized the dual gauge style thermometer/hydrometer I have is not optimal so i was looking at the Acurite w/probe digital setups. My question is I have an Animal Plastic enclosure and I'm not sure how I would get the probe in where it has sliding glass doors. Has anyone run into this? Should i just drill an extra hole for the probe? I dont think the ventilation slots would be big enough to slide the probe through. Maybe I'm wrong. Any help is appreciated.

I use the ones without probes. I just put them in the enclosure. Easy breezy, no drilling.

    Re: Thermometer/Hygrometer Question

I don't know the size of your probes, but for my probes, also with an Animal Plastics enclosure, I drilled a small hole in the back, by the rear vents. No problem, clean, and out of sight.

    Re: Thermometer/Hygrometer Question

I drill a small hole through the vents to make it more discrete, then feed the probe cord out one vent and back through another on the other side. Then I can see warm and cool side ambient temps and humidity for one enclosure very easily.
