I agree. I think it went to normal about 2 hours later but I'm not quite sure I could kind of see her neck but not all the way. Now she is curled up in her hide but I keep waiting for her to come out to check again. I tried googling for hours and cant come across anything remotely similar.

The reason I asked about her tongue flick is that I've seen a BP with an infection of the glottis- it made his tongue sticky also, so when he managed to flick his tongue,
he flicked it abnormally slow & the tips stuck together. Anyway, just a thought...

Maybe it's a muscle spasm in her neck? Let us know what happens, if it's gone? She probably NEEDS a very light massage, lol...

Yeah I will keep everyone informed especially in case this happens to someone elses snake because there is literally nothing on google about this. I thought maybe the rat was too big and just stretched out her neck but it isn't much bigger than what she usually eats. But she is a drama queen who identifies as a cobra apparently. Hopefully she will be fine because I would be sad if anything happened to her

I guess so! I think she'll be ok, but that's definitely not normal. She's creative, that's for sure.

Update on my baby. I checked her the next day and she had turned blue as she was going into shed so maybe that had something to do with her throat sucking in like that. Her throat was back to normal the next day and she shed all in one piece a few days ago so all is well. I still wish I knew exactly what caused it. I still cant find anything on Google remotely close
