I have a large PVC setup with one 80 watt RHP for my huge girl, and the temps are perfect at about 88 inside her hide, and 92 on top of the hide (she never leaves her hide). But it is easy for me to regulate temps in this tank due to its size--it's a 4-footer. So I think you'll be fine without the supplemental tummy heat.
