rack system humidity problems (too dry)
As I expanded from one BP to three I picked up a CSerpents 3-tier rack, which is awesome. However, I'm having a hard time keeping the humidity up in there. I actually had an easier time when I only had one BP and I had her in a 10-gallon tank. That had a wire mesh cover, but I put saran wrap over most of it and was able to keep the humidity exactly where I wanted it by opening up the saran wrap a bit more or less.
I started using Coco as substrate for one of the tubs and that seems to keep the humidity up for a bit, but then it dries out again. Hmmm. Any ideas?

Is the water bowl reasonably large and on the warm end of the tub?
What's the normal humidity in your house? 20%, 30, 50?
Toss a handful of damp sphagnum moss (in a bowl/tupperware if you use paper substrate) in the non-coco bins.

humidity is crazy low this time of year, like 20%. No easy way to get that up, though. I'll try the moss idea. Thanks!

My home is crazy low too. I use Paper substrate and thats even worse. Large water bowls fix that, also make sure what your using to measure humidity is correct.
As a last resort, if you have a small room the Rack can be in during winter then use a Humidifier. Actually you can do that in any room. It also will help your home/room feel warmer for you. 68 degrees with 30% humidity is chilly, 68 degrees with 60% humidity feels like 72 degrees
Good luck
