    That depends on the ambient temperature of the room the snake will be in. It'll also vary slightly by species, or with carpets specifically locality.
    Unfortunately there's no "one size fits all" answer that question. What works where I live could be completely different where you live.
    Essentially, if the room doesn't stay above the minimum temp required for the animal you will need an additional heat source.
