She'll roam all night, rest for a few hours during the day, then start up again like clockwork in the early evening.

Sounds like she is looking for a way out. If you have a female ball python large enough to take medium rats living in a 20 gallon tank---I don't blame her.

The frequent urate excretion could be a result of internal compression of the digestive tract as she presses her body against the walls of the tank.
