Yes, I do believe it happened...maybe the bottle held water & there is drought? or the snake smelled other ("edible") wildlife on the bottle & just went for it?
Even though cobras have better vision than most snakes, they don't make their decisions based on sight alone...scent cues are still the way of the serpent.
I'm so glad the cobra was able to hack it up & I hope it did no internal harm.Lots of our plastic trash ends up in the ocean, where it collects in massive amounts.
We should be at least as smart as the Indian government is (below). It's time to stop putting quick profits before the health of humans, animals & the planet...which
also means supporting a government that shares our values...& NOT one that rescinds environmental regulations & is on the side of corporate polluters!
