    Re: Jungle Carpet dream cage

Here she is in it. She’s about six feet long and three years old and is exploring currently.

So with my T8 I would hang the thermostat probe on the cool side of the enclosure about 2 inches from the floor and set it to 78 which would give me a warm side temperature of 95 ish.

I did the same thing on the cool side of the enclosure here but set the thermostat to 75 as I was anticipating a wider temperature spectrum. At this temp on the floor of the cage the cool side upper platform is 83 and the basking platform is 100 . A little warm but usable. So what I might do is set the floor temp to 73 hoping to lower the basking platform temp into the 95ish range. Thankfully JCP’s are resilient to colder temps down into the upper 60’s as long as they can thermoregulate . ...and she has multiple levels to do so.
