You often do not have to go to that extent a simple 30 min car trip and or husbandry change will often do the trick, so will feeding more conservatively especially for a male to prevent long term fast.

A snake can go well over a year without food and tube feeding is not something I would recommend or do unless the snake is dying.
So does taking a snake on a road trip occasionally helpful in kickstarting a non feeder ??
