My girlfriend joined some Facebook group and asked the same things I did in the beginning and every single reply she got was very rude and not helpful at all.

All normal behavior.. You will find out if he is stressed out when you go to feed him for the first time.. It's not always a dead give away but if they aren't eating at that age, more than likely something is bothering them..
