I did leave off until 2 days after its first feed, perhaps I was perhaps a bit premature in handling after it's first feed rather than waiting a couple of feed but I wanted to make sure he understood who I was and that there's no need to be stressed. Everything I read said categorically to leave it 2 days to allow for digestion so I absolutely followed that rule.
