    For those opting for free monitoring, I have to wonder...if they blew our security before, do we really want them to continue monitoring for us?

    You didn't have a choice, credit card companies (and I have only one CC) contracted through Equifax which is why SO many people were affected.

    I know that...I mean now, what they're offering to make up for the breach. Either a monetary payment (if you already have credit monitoring) or free monitoring from them.
