    I've kayaked a few times here on local rivers...one faster moving, the other very slow & lazy. It's a great way to take in the scenery & wildlife, so I prefer the
    slower waters. I've been out on plenty of motorized boats on lakes, rivers & ocean, & I find that I don't care much for the noise or the speed...for me, being
    on the water is being one with nature...I like the peace of paddling a kayak (if I'm not swimming, that is). I think you'll be very glad you're trying this.
