I have a uth with a thermostat for a hot side. I've only used the heat lamp for a few days to gauge how hot it would be and unfortunately it was too hot. Throughout the day the average temperature is about mid 70s. I'll be sure to get a che and second thermostat soon so I can have a proper temp.
Pretty much any heat source should be regulated, yup. You're on the right track.
