What's your favorite snake species?

Impressiveness it has to be boas for me. They get big, but not too big. Some of the colors and patters are out of this world amazing.

For personality I was honestly surprised how much fun our normal corn snake is. So curious and always out cruising around. My fiance absolutely adores her, and she was not high on corn snakes before we got one.

I little off topic but lots of people mentioned how ball pythons need high humidity, very true. This is probably a very unpopular option but it's what I've always had for my ball python and he does great. I have reptile carpet, it doesn't hold humidity at all but I find it very easy to clean. I use something called a reptifogger which is a fogger, I have it on a thermostat that also controls humidity and it works great, they need replacing a lot but work well, I just set it to the humidity I want, 55% or 70% for shedding, sometimes I have to play with the knob that controls how much fog comes in. It works very well and I've seen my ball python stick his face in the mist and enjoy it too. He is in a 60 gallon tank and it keeps the humidity perfect once adjusted properly.

Now to stay on topic a little, other than ball pythons, my next favorite snake species to have would probably be a mangrove snake, they look so cool and have a huge head but also don't get too big. They are rear fang venomous and even if bitten their venom isn't that bad. It would be so cool telling people I have a venomous snake that I handle like a little baby.

The key time is shedding time so spraying a few times daily as soon as the eyes clear results in perfect sheds in my experience.. mine are heated by flamin ceramic lamps which are a nightmare as regards humidity

I have not been around much lately...Haha. But I would say my one Boa is making a rather grand impression...I love my Boa. Though most of my collection is Ball pythons and even my Hoggies out-number my one Boa...But thats just do to lack of space. I plan far ahead and hope to see my boa hit 10'. Maybe a little longer.

I honestly can't say though. Like many others my snake favorites switch, one day its my hoggies because one of them did some cute adorable thing. Or maybe my Ball pythons got the highlight with a hiss(very rare for my pythons to hiss at me).

I absolutely love the way Brazilian rainbow boas look. I think it's no secret the reticulated pythons are my favorite though. Every morph seen including normal is just absolutely beautiful. I love their big personalities and enthusiasm. I love how intelligent they are. Simply put I love everything about them.

Definitely the ball python for me. I was pretty neutral/wary about snakes before discovering this species, but ball pythons were love at first sight. This was the species that led me to research snakes in depth and learn to love them, and the one that brought me into the world of snake keeping. I really admire a lot of other snake species but this is the only one I can see myself keeping in the foreseeable future. They're just the right size and shape, docile, and they have that irresistible, sweet face. Plus, they come in so many beautiful patterns and colours—BP morphs are my favourite out of all the snake species I know about.

Carpet pythons are still my favorite snake species but boas are a very close 2nd. The size, diversity, general temperament, and ease of care for both species make them perfect snakes to keep imho.

I love boas but ATBs (amazon tree boas) are my favorite.
They look venomous but are not and come in such a wide variety of colors and there's no rhyme or reason when breeding to determine what colors you may get.
They are feisty little demon shoe strings and I love them.
