As far as I know two people are breeding these guys, here in the US anyway. Tommy Carpenter at TC Reptiles, where I bought Feliz, and I forgot the other breeder, but I can ask if anyone is interested.

He is not a Pokigron Venezuelan Boa, but a "Dwarf" Locale species that probably interbred with BI's over time, but it's not clear. Vin Russo talks about them in his book as separate locale species, as do some other people, who know about them.

Feliz was a holdback for color, but I talked Tommy into selling him to me, as he had a different holdback for pattern.

He's a total sweetheart, but a ferocious eater! There are known for both being gentle, especially for smaller boas, and being great eaters like all boas.

He will be two years old in September and weighs in at about 330G now. He should not be over 5FT when full grown. He is also a Rio Bravo line animal.

The first two pictures are recent, but the last two are from a few months ago.

    Beautiful!,

And great background info as well.

    That is a unique animal.

Pokigron is in Suriname, not Venezuela so there should be no confusion there. I'd be surprised if Gus did any crossing with BCI and BCC animals. Vin maybe would as he isn't strictly a locality breeder.

Tommy Carpenter is a very good breeder and is one of few that breeds the Barranquilla, Colombian boas like the one I have.

You have a lovely snake and I think it is a perfect addition to this thread!
