    Hi

    Yes you do need to re hydrate it, I use one of those 1 gallon hand held sprayers that people use for spraying pesticide to mist my substrate every other day or as needed.Before buying one of those I picked up at a Petco a small pressure mister. It worked very well and kept humidity up.
