Agree, it's hiding...they feel more secure in a cave or rock pile...something that provides "back pressure", but in a pinch, hey a water bowl can work, lol.
If you give her hides that fit tighter, & maybe if they are the heavier type too, she might leave the bowl alone.

I agree as well. It's just funny seeing my nearly 2300 gram female hide under her water bowl. I'm like "you don't fit!" Haha
