    Adult Size

Hey everyone! So, I’ve had my snake about a year and three months at this point, so she’s still a juvenile. I’m curious how big around an adult ball python typically gets? Everywhere I look I see answers in grams which doesn’t mean much to me, and if I google pictures rarely is there anything for scale (pun intended), or it’s an image shared specifically because the snake is an anomaly in terms of size. So, in layman’s terms, maybe using objects as comparison, what is the average diameter of an adult bp?

My largest girl is Ellie, she's 10 years old and a lil bigger around than a soda can, about 2700 grams.
There are larger ones out there but she's probably a pretty decent average size for an adult female.

When it comes to females my largest is weighing at just a little over 4000 grams at 7 years old (been sitting at that weight for a few years now), I have a few in the 3000 grams range and many in the 2500 range, some have been recorded at higher weight.

Male the biggest I ever had was 1600 grams.

They don't all max out the same genetics has a big role in it.

Diameter for my average adult female is:
Smaller than a bottle of peanuts.
Larger than a bottle of water.
Slightly smaller than a can of tuna.
About the width of a can of Coconut milk.

    (looks like soup tonight...j/k)

Hi. My biggest girl is 3000 grams which is 6.6 pounds. Length which is a guess about 4 1/2 maybe 5 feet long. Width bigger than a baseball smaller than a softball. My biggest male is 1500 grams which is 3.3 pounds. Length about 3 1/2-4 feet. Width just bigger than a baseball. Hope that helps.
