    As for handling, I wouldn't sweat this or count it as a refusal.

    The general rule of thumb is 3 consecutive meals without refusal, but it's not set in stone. If you wanted to take him out for a few minutes to admire his fresh shed. You can also use the opportunity to check to make sure his eye caps, vent and tail all shed fully. Just keep it short and sweet and then hold off til after his next meal.
    The breeder/owner said when he got him in he was 2 years old so he's estimating somewhere around there. I don't have an accurate way to weigh him right now. The man at the shop said he was eating live med rats but the one he gave me was very small so I'm counting that as a small rat not a med but that is good to know, thank you
