What is this on my Ball Pythons Lip!?

Hey guys! Wondering what this is on her lip. It looks like two little holes. He is what it cannot be/my set up

I feed ft so no live
She has had it for at least 6 months.
    Not infected in anyway.
Very clean environment. Substrate is paper towels that it changed once it's soiled. I use bins in a custom made rack system
Doesn't seem to bother her in anyway
    Nothing sharp in the bin

If it was scale rot wouldn't it look different? And mouth rot would be worse right?

It could be benign I guess but it's curiosity I guess. Any suggestions are fully welcome 😊

My knee-jerk response was that it appeared to be a minor puncture wound, but it would likely have healed in 6 mos. and it's not an actual hole, is it?
(from here it actually looks like a heat-sensing pit that ended up in the wrong place)

If it's just a red discoloration that's not increasing at all, my guess is that it's just a petechiae, a tiny bit of bleeding under the skin & the only reason you're
seeing it is because your snake is so light colored. If it changes (gets bigger) by all means have a vet look at it, but my guess is that it's purely harmless.
(people get petechiae too, for various reasons)

Yes it is two small holes and yes it looks like wierd heat pits almost. No blood. No oozing or anything like that. It's so wierd. I'm not sure if it's gotten bigger or not but she certainly has lol

How long have you had this snake? Is it possible she was hatched with them & you just didn't notice right off? You know, stranger things have happened than for a BP
to have a pair of extra & "wayward" heat sensing pits. Cats are born with extra toes, etc etc. so it's entirely possible IMO. Would be interesting to see what a vet makes
of them (would have to be a reptile specialist of course), but I'd probably not make a trip just for that, unless something changes.

Besides, if that's what they are, you can tell people that your snake has "ESP", extra sensory perception.

I was going to bring her to a exotic vet and see what they had to say but I would feel like they wouldn't know either and I'd be a waste of a trip lol. It doesn't look sore and it's not swollen. I'm really not sure. I've had her since she was a baby and maybe because she has grown and so have they now I notice them? Idk lol

That's what I was thinking...it's not a very noticeable place, & you might not have noticed until she got bigger? Personally, I'd be looking at it with my magnifying loupe
and comparing it to her other heat sensing pits... How old is she now?

Oh wow...that seems very unlikely that you didn't notice it before roughly 6 mos. ago, then? If they really are heat pits, she'd have had them when she hatched.
I love a good mystery...have you looked with good light & magnification?

Here is a better light. Upon looking at it today. It may just be nose rub under her chin? She has a smaller area on the other side of her bottom lip too.

I switched her tub to a larger one recently because she was always "exploring" which looked to be stress. Now that she is in the bigger bin she seems happier. She is always coiled on top of her hide though.
