Non-spider ball python wobbles when stressed?
I have a young bp who seems to flinch and move its head sporadically when it gets excited or stressed. It happens more often while feeding and seems to make it not want to eat. It's always done this to a degree since I got him. Husbandry is all correct, i have another bp with the same set up who is doing great. Has anyone seen this before? Could it be something neurological?

Spider is not the only BP morph with known wobble in the offspring. Champagne also wobbles and a few others, if I'm remembering right. You didn't say what morph yours is, so it may be that it is one of the morphs with a wobble.

I'm pretty sure it's not just bps too. I think some of the jag gene in carpets also have a slight wobble

Jaguar gene is basically the Spider gene of carpet pythons. Just like with BP wobble, the jag wobble can be insignificant, or extremely severe. Depends on the snake.

A firefly should not wobble. Please post a pic if you can. Also, put it on its back and see how long it takes it to right itself. Exposure to excessive heat or exposure to neurotoxins can also cause wobble like symptoms.
Honest, I only need one more ...

While wobble is generaly associated with specific gene a it can manifest in any BP reguardless of combo. Can be a sign of diseases such as ibd, could be the result of incubation temps being to high while in egg ect.

Re: Non-spider ball python wobbles when stressed?
We got our first BP yesterday. An enchi lesser morph. I've noticed he wobbles just a bit too when he lifts his head up to look around. I was rather curious if that was just normal/he was tired/a little stressed from travel/etc... It's very mild, and doesn't seem to affect him, but I did notice it twice!
