    Aside from being on the belly, I can't tell where the scar is located. If it is about 1/8 of the snake's snout-vent length forward of the vent, then it is probably an imperfectly healed scar from where the snake's yolk sac was attached when the snake was in the egg. In other words, it's the snake's navel (AKA bellybutton) and nothing to worry about. Note the groove running tailward from the scar. That would be a fully healed portion of the scar.

    My local animal shelter never has good stuff like this. I am envious!
