Re: Rescue with Bad Eye Caps

I personally would not try using tape. I’ve heard about it, but have never tried it. I was just not willing to risk permanently damaging their eyes. For any rescues I’ve had with stuck shed, I have let them soak in shallow luke warm water and used my hands or a wet washrag or towel to gently rub any stuck shed. Most of the time the next shed takes care of everything I can’t dislodge. As for the eyecaps, it does not look like retained eyecaps to me, just dimples or creases from incorrect humidity. Correcting the husbandry now that he’s in your care should go a long way toward correcting the issue, along with a shed or two depending on the severity of prior damage.
