    Give that snake his hide back. He should have at least 2 anyway, one cool side & one warm side. It doesn't have to be THIS kind, but really I don't see the problem.
    It's like getting white carpet in your house & not expecting to see every little thing, lol....

    OR: If you want a stressed out BP that won't eat, just keep his hide out of his cage. I'm not sure that [very irregular] mark was from the hide anyway.
