Heavier water bowl

I mean not 100% sure as I’ve never seen them but I don’t see any little black dots and I’ve never seen him soak either...

Hopefully not mites, & maybe it's not the snake either, as some suggested the bowl might be defective. Take it out, dry the outside, fill it & set it on a piece of
paper for a while...you'll have your answer.

Whatever kind of bowls you use, you want flat bottom types...I have seen snakes tip the ones that aren't flat (& wide) enough on the bottom.

While some of the "naturalistic" bowls look cool, I prefer those (made for humans) that are smooth & easier to keep clean (& free of hard water deposits).
I also want to be able to see into it...to know if it's dirty & needs changed...so I prefer clear or at least light color for ease of spot checking. Some snakes
like to defecate in their water bowls...
