Yep. They fart. Guess all animals do it. Will never forget the first time I herd one do it. It caught me off guard as well.

The would-be sloth ‘farts’ are simply reabsorbed through the intestines into the bloodstream ... it’s apparently a safety measure as they take three weeks to digest and they would explode if the gas stayed in that long .... apparently....
