    It's really a BIG male so not eating is not unusual for an animal that size when they recently change environment I had it happen over and over again with adults.

    As for the laziness sometimes males are truly lazy and sometimes they are just picky or the female is picky.

    The only thing you can do is use stubborn breeder tricks, shed and sperm plug, putting him in with 2 females, and if he is not lean I would put him on a diet too.
