Yeah, that size rat is definitely too big for your guy.
My 1100 gram male gets an 80-90 gram rat every 10-14 days and is in great shape and still growing at a steady rate.
I would give him a goid two weeks before offering again. And definitely downsize. At that weight I'd be feeding a 50-60 gram rat weekly.
