It's just auto adjust on my Galaxy S5. I try and post photos that look the most like the snake does when it's in front of me. Sometimes, depending on the color, the auto adjust feature will look off or washed out. So that is the difference in the brightness of the first two photos and the third. I didn't use the auto adjust photo for the third animal because it's lighter coloration made it looked washed out.
