Nope. It's still probably a good practice not to allow a very big BP to wrap around your neck too many times, especially jumpier snakes, but they're runners, not fighters- if they don't want to be messed with, they'll just try to slither away and hide.

One of my favorite aspects of them is that they won't even get big enough to harm my cat if there happens to be an escape.

I love the ball pythons full grown size .....for me it's not too big but it's not too small
