No photos today, but the little nugget has finally taken a first meal for me and it is his rat and first frozen thawed!
The first couple attempts at feeding were refusals with defensive strikes. Unlike my other 2 BPs which were easy handlers and enthusiastic eaters from the get this little dude is much more skittish and nippy. It is interesting see to just how different their personalities can be.
Magic just shed, he shed clean with the exception of his head. I gave him a little soak it came right off. It has been real cold of late and the heat has been running a lot. I couldn't mist frequently enough. I can't wait until the end of his quarantine period and at which time I can put him in the rack.
This little guy is a punk. He currently won't feed on anything other than live mice and he is a snappy and defensive little pistol. Poised to strike or wadded up into a ball, there is no inbetween. It has been very different getting him going that it was for the other two that I own.
I'm finally starting to get somewhere with this kid. He has made the switch from mice to rats, and in the last 3 weeks is finally taking frozen thawed. At last. It only took 9 months.
He is still not the best handling snake of my group but he is slowly improving.
