    Provent-a-Mite without substrate

I dont use substrate where you spray provent-a-mite. I use packing paper as substrate. You cant spray it on the animal so how can you use it in this situation?
Please dont send me links to other products. Thank you

When I used Provent-a-Mite in the past, I quarantined on newspaper. You just spray the paper and any cage furnishings, then let it completely dry before adding the water bowl and snake.

Taylor gave a great rundown of the use on another thread.....

-place down paper towel; replace hides; spray them too

-VENTILATE everything until all surfaces are dry and there's no vapors/smell; i opened a window and ran a fan for 2 hrs but that might be overkill lol

-replace water dish and add water; replace animal

    -repeat in two weeks

You use it the same way regardless of substrate being used, the important part is to let it dry.

I use paper towels. What I do, is keep some extra tubs on hand and as they are soiled, I replace with a tub and paper towels that has already been treated and dried. I take the tubs outside and spray them, then paper towels, with pam. I let the tubs and paper towels dry for 24 hours on my back porch, then take them back inside and store until I need them.

For cages, I remove all bedding, put the animal in a holding rack / tub, spray the inside of the cage and furnishings / paper towels, then leave the animal out for 24 hours. I don't return the water bowl until I add the animal back in. I have all cages and racks in the same room, so I do have to spray the cage while other animals are in the room, but I leave a ventilation fan running the whole time to help..I have not seen any negative effects from this.

By the way did you try the front line spray? Muscle serpent seems to love it.
