Securing tubs in a rack

I just got my combo rack from C-Serpant. I love it! My question is can the tubes be secured so dogs can't slide them out? I also have a friend with a snake 🐍 fobia and I want him to relax when he's at my place. I am able to close the door to the room but it is a guest room and soon there will be people going in and out.

A lot of people Ive seen use a board or wooden dowel that slides down the front of the rack for such a purpose. Get two "U" shaped brackets from a Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards that fit the diameter of a 3/4" wooden dowel. Screw the brackets to the front of the rack on the top and bottom. Cut your dowel to length, and slide it in.

Thank you Kevin! I wish I had seen this before I went to Lowes tonight! I was going to make a screen door but I like your recommendation MUCH better. I was worried about air flow so the dowels will be much better. Thank you, thank you!

You're welcome You can do it with horizontal dowels for eash individual tub, or one single, long vertical dowel that blocks every tub. I like the idea of one vertical dowel personally.
