I am learning more about him though. For example, he's more likely to strike, bite, and musk if I try to remove him from a perch than he is when I take him out of one of his hides.

Hahahahaha, yep! It’s always best to sneak-attack while their sleeping under a hide! Pop stopped sleeping in his larger hide for like 9 months because he realized that was the easiest place from which to scoop him up😂 Pretty sure someone in the FB group once told me, “never let them get higher ground on you.” Hope he lays off you a bit soon. Mine is super docile and it’s still a fight to the death to get him out every time🙄

Why can’t we have a pet who just comes when you call??
