My chihuahua mix was elated I think. She knew that would mean more attention for her.

Aww... One of my dogs is 46 lbs & the other is 19, both mixes, both are very playful and with no fights ever. The little guy is actually the 'alpha'- even though he came
along many years after the first. (I've had her since she was 6 mos. old.) Despite such a big size difference, they play really well together & keep me laughing.
