    Question Tank Cleaning

Can I clean my ball pythons tank with Clorox disinfecting wipes? Is it harmful to the snake?

Those would be pretty harsh and the chemical odor would linger, potentially causing harm to your snake.

I think most of us use F10:

You can get it on Amazon also. Effective, safe, and easy to use.

I would never use bleach for any of my enclosures. If I thought that such harsh measures were necessary, I'd sooner dispose of the enclosure.

    Re: Tank Cleaning

I never knew about F10. But I might as well get some. As a newbie here since I didnt know about F10, What I have been using is dawn dish soap and water. I would put a dime size in a bowl and fill it up with water. Clean it out real good with a white rag. Then I would rinse it out with hot water. Let it sit out for a couple of hours and then see if there is any smell coming from the enclosure. I do a finally wipe down with another white rag but I'm using just water. Let it dry and then lay down his substrate.

F10 is great stuff. Don't be put off by the price. That 100ml will last a LONG time. I've been through a few bottles and have always ended up throwing away a fair amount because it expires before I use it all, and I am very liberal with my application. The expiration date is generally a year from the date I receive it.

Oh awsome. Cant wait to try it out. I love products that are long lasting. Keep me from buying more every month or so.

To be clear. You want the F10SC.

Oh, and you need to mix F10 yourself, which is simple. The container has a measuring spout built in. I use 1L spray bottles from Walmart. They cost less than $1.

The least you can buy is 100ml, but it only takes 2.5ml to make a 1L bottle. ergo, it lasts forever.

I've never used F10scxd. Any reviews?

I use it and I like it. SCXD is more for cleaning. I spray the enclosure and use a scrubber, it becomes sudsy and helps break up grime. You do have to rinse with water afterwards so you don't leave a residue.
F10SC do spray it and leave it, no rinsing required.
