the eastern half of the U.S. for below-average temperatures. Bleah! (not making MY day either!)

No, no it didn't. Little thing that most people don't know, we have two seasons here in Maine. Winter and 4th of July!

My brother & his wife lived for many years in Duluth MN (no longer, they finally moved south) so it's not only you folks in Maine.
