    If the end goal is transitioning your snakes to F/T, then I also would not mess with doing F/T then live then F/T.

    As for tricks, other than using a hair dryer (especially on the head), here are commonly recommended ones: rubbing dirty mouse bedding on the thawed rat. Letting the rat thaw out in the snake room. Thawing the rat in the same bag as a mouse. Braining the rat. Soaking the rat in chicken broth. Hunger (sometimes you just need a hungry enough snake).

    Thawing the rat in the same bag as a mouse was enough for my one stubborn BP.
