    Weird patches

Hey everyone! I posted a month or so back after I moved my snake into a new tub with slightly-too-big holes, and she scratched her head up in a couple spots. I fixed the issue and everyone said the scuffs were no big deal and she’d shed them out. Well, she did shed them out and most of them disappeared with the exception of one spot; i figured it was just a bit more extensive and would take two sheds. However, it looks like it’s gotten worse somehow. I’ve attached some pictures; it also looks like there’s a spot on her back, so now I’m wondering if it’s perhaps something else? It’s not what would strike me as a “fungus” but it’s also my first snake so I’m not sure what I should be looking for. I also went to feed tonight and she struck a few times then went inside her hide without taking it (she’s normally a ferocious eater) so this made me want to look into the funky spots more. Let me know your opinion, and also if she needs a vet, how urgent is it? I have one both here and back home where I’ll be for the holiday soon but I’m afraid the hours might be weird due to thanksgiving. Thanks in advance!!

Also, her eye is fine, it’s just the lighting that makes it look weird.

It's impossible for me to be sure (from that picture & just online) but it appears to be a fungal infection of some of her scales. I've had a BP that had the
same thing (long ago) & I got a topical anti-fungal medication from the vet to treat it. It's not an emergency or terribly urgent...but if my guess is correct,
it will spread to more places on your snake & be harder to get rid of. Your call. You'll notice it didn't go away with the shed, & if you look close, you'll see
the scales in question appear dried & shriveled-up. You can tell it's not a normal scrape, those improve with sheds; if it's what I suspect, it's fairly distinctive
because the scales are individually abnormal, whereas other kinds of damage (scrapes etc) aren't like that. It's not hard to treat & get rid of, just easier when
it's not all over their body. I think BPs must be prone to it (with their warmer & humid enclosures) since none of my other snakes have ever gotten this,
not once in all the years I've been keeping quite a few snakes.

Are you sure it's not a little stuck shed? From the picture it looks like it has sharp lines which I wouldn't expect with a fungus but I don't know for sure. If you look at the spot on the head you can see some smaller pieces toward the eye which all have sharp edges. Of course I'm looking at it on a phone so who knows if it looks the same in person.

Thanks for your input everyone! Upon closer inspection it does have sharp edges and one almost looks to be peeling, so I’m going to try a warm towel to see if it’ll come off. She did have a rough shed last time since I have been having some issues maintaining humidity in the larger enclosure. If not I’ll bring her to the exotics doctor at home on Saturday, he’s great!
