Feeding lump
Hi! I’m fairly new to this community and snake keeping, but I love it and am excited to be a part of it! I recently just got a baby BRB and offered her her first meal (after waiting about a week) and she didn’t take it off the tongs, but I left it in there and she ate it after about an hour!
It was a frozen thawed fuzzy mouse 5g, I pulled her out after 48 hrs and she still had a very noticeable lump, I didn’t want to stress her, so I quickly weighed her and put her back. With the lump she weighed 38 grams. At 75 hrs she still had a lump, but it’s a little bit smaller, not much though.
Humidity 100% cool side always between 72-75 warm side of 80-83. She has just been her humid hide which is in the center of the enclosure digesting this whole time as far as I can tell.
Im going to leave her alone for 48 more hours and then check on her again. Should I be concerned?? Was the food item too big? Any input or help would be appreciated.

At least 86 degrees minimum warm side, 88 would be better. 78 degrees cool. And 60 to 70 percent humidity should be great. Hope that helps.
1.0 Black Pastel Pinstripe
1.0 Reduced Pattern Clown
1.0 Low White Pied
1.0 Hypo Super Enchi

Re: Feeding lump
60-70% humidity can be deadly for a baby rainbow boa and anything over 85 is too hot. Thanks.

I think I trust some of the more specialized experienced breeders over a generalized reptile magazine. Thanks. I do appreciate your response and help. I really just don’t think my temps or humidity are an issue. Was just wondering if the lump was normal after that amount of time. Thanks again, I do appreciate your input!
