    The advantage of feeding rats is that you will only have to feed one to an adult whereas mice you will have to feed multiples.

    This ^ ^ ^ ^ ^! And I've seen charts analyzing the nutrients of rodents, rats & mice are very close & perfectly adequate either way, so don't worry about that.
