Favorite thing about fall/winter?
Now since it's getting to the end of October and we're getting further into fall, what are your favorite things about the season and what do you like to do? With winter coming up, what are some things you are looking forward to? What are your favorite things about winter? Favorite things to do?

I'm assuming you're in one of those states that basically has summer all year long? XD So like Texas or Arizona?
Honestly though, that's kind of a shame. Both seasons are awesome (in my view anyways). You're missing out on a lot, bud!

Man, I can agree with you. The colder it is, the better!
We really need a good snow storm here soon. Bums me out our winters haven't really been cold. They predicted another warm winter for us :/
What is "that time of year"? Is it just the coldest days?

Fall, I love. Winter, not so much.
Fall, to me, means sweat pants and hoodies, football and hockey, Halloween and Thanksgiving, comfort food and comfy blankets. I love holidays with family, I love seeing my neice and nephew dressed in adorable little costumes and trick-or-treaters coming to the door. I love the fall colors and the cool breezes of fall nights. I love making soups, baked Mac and cheese, pot roasts, etc...
But winter, ugggggh, I hate it. I'd be perfectly content to never see snow again. I hate the dry artificial heat, I hate heating oil bills, I hate shoveling. I hate having to bundle up to leave the house.
In conclusion, Fall = fantastic
Winter = crappy

Using the oven! ROASTING! BAKING! From May through early October it's just too warm to run the oven as it heats up the house and that just makes the A/C work harder. I just made my first loaf of home-made artisan bread since last spring.

Dead mosquitoes. No more flies buzzing around in the kitchen.
Our trees will drop their pecans soon. The harvest is a lot of work, but I get a nice check from the wholesaler. Hmmmm...what to buy?
I am a knitter and spinner.
Wool is more pleasant to work with if my hands aren't sweating in 100F heat.
Last projects were cosy shawls. Current project is a gansey style hat for BF, and next will be a traditional gansey sweater for him.
Also, my Flemish Giant rabbits outside are MUCH happier in cool weather.

Probably that it's cold (fall) but isn't freeze your...nose off cold. Also the yummy fall food smells!
Constantly trying to improve, always open to learning. For the good of the animals, education is priority.
