    The only worry I have about MOST snakes escaping is for the well-being of the snake itself. That includes ball pythons. But I'd certainly be concerned about the
    much larger boas & pythons, especially -as you said- in a house with other pets.

    What a lucky break (no pun intended) that the glass wasn't broken, as the snake might have been cut by it, & hopefully it can be repaired now too? Not sure it's ever
    going to be up to the task of containing this snake though...now that he's had some practice. To the OP: So happy your snake wasn't injured!
