    Exactly...this is normal snake behavior (not just hoggies) when expecting food & why it's always better to feed "at home".

    You should see my spotted python at feeding time, if you think THIS was a fright. She's a whirling dervish of bites, she flings her head around w/ mouth-open, &
    she even tries to bite her enclosure. Any other time, perfectly sweet & cuddly snake. But food makes her "mental"....
