    Oh yea that sounds like a shed. I agree that you should keep an eye on him and see if the behavior continues after the shed. If he does and he still does not have mites, I would take him to the vet. Just to make sure that he is 100 percent healthy. Right now more so with what you described, it does sound like a shed.
